I have another post up at Today’s Mama, which you can find HERE. I haven’t been super blog-posty over there or on ISWTG blog lately because I have been (drumroll please) working like a maniac! I had a design due on Thursday (which sold! Yay! I love seeing my designs come to life as a landscape) and have been trying to keep up with all of the admin (read: boring) part of my company. Can I have any more parenthesis in this paragraph? (Spoiler: yes).
Part of the boring part is bombarding my business FB page with progress pics, which I can only do if I have a working camera. I take a dillion and one pics daily, so I’m actually not just documenting our projects, I’m documenting the microscopic growth of my children daily. Oh! Ans is 11 months today! I almost forgot. So I’ll need to take some pics of her as well. You see what I mean? I have to have a working camera. The problem is that a flash card broke off in the camera. IN IT. As in the card split in half, which I can remove carefully and still sort of use, but a corner of the plastic is lodged way down into the delicate nether regions. I cannot use a new flash card because it won’t fit past the broken piece. You see my dilemma. I can chance the pics sometimes coming off the brokie-broke one and not have to do really anything about it, or I could go without my camera for a few days and send it to a camera store for repair. So far I keep taking more pics and hoping I can get them off. Hence the family photos from last weekend that I just now got into a post!
The moral of the story is: it’s never easy.
It’s not easy to get kids to sit for very long so there’s at least one picture of everyone looking at the camera, much less smiling, and much much less it being the best angle for moi. Don’t get me started on the tantrums because of who was touching or not touching each other. These kids and touching!
I even thought about calling the post over there, “Family Photo Shoot: Exposed,” but I’m not sure I love puns enough for that. If this were E! or something, that could fly.
How are your photo shoots? Do you all wear matching white shirts and jeans and take them at the beach? I can’t even imagine having the wherewithal to coordinate such a thing.
Jells for Posterity.
