I have been making fewer appearances around here, but for good reason. No, not spending time with the fam. Even less of that. I’m doing this funny thing called working. I just have no brain power left at the end of the day to write something intelligible and or funny and and or crafty.
I have about a month left till the festival and have to conserve my days off for trying to finish this damn wallet tutorial I promised last week. Well, I’m making a second one and tweaking the pattern so that’s the hold up. Perfection – I aim near it. So in my “spare” time (ha!) I’m sewing and doing my other job designing landscapes.

Working on the weekend. Hubs and the crew actually do 99% of the hard stuff; I get to play with plants. But this is my blog so here’s a picture of me placing plants in our most recent project.
The girls are cute as ever, and EB got a cough for the dillionth time this season, which she promptly gave to her sister. Ans only wants tummy time for all waking and sleeping moments, rolls hard to her right, and has begun to pull up all of her limbs to so that just her belly touches. Right on schedule, but I haven’t been tracking all that stuff like I did for big girl. Funny how the experience is just happening and not waiting for the milestones according to the books.
I wish I could troll all of your blogs like I used to. I will again in the very near future. Funny how in the beginning of the year I started to take a break because I loved this blog stuff a little too hard, and now I can’t remember how to make my brain write words that sense make. I’m on a computer all day at work my have a good eye and semi-good eye. So now that I’m home, it’s dance party with big girl and witching hour crycryfests with the baby. You know.
♪ I just called…to say…I love you. ♪
Working Jells.

Took me a moment to see what you did with the garden. Nice one, getting round the pesky slope. And even better countering it by lifting the stoop at the lower end. What are you using to wall the planter. In the past I’ve done something like that with sheet stainless steel. And we could never get to plant so near the wall of the house, I would have to think up a trim. Do you need to dig footings for the deck or can you lay directly onto the soil since you have so little rain. Like I said a sweet design.
You know men cannot get into that position. Leastwise not for very long. It saves your back untold agony. Well maybe not untold exactly. Some of us might be a bit tooo vocal about it.
Is there a garden plant flowering about now and again about June in that climate conditions. I know people in the hills north of LA and at this time of year they get a lot of flu like symptoms. And their climate would be in the ball park for plants.
BTW did ye remove that retaining wall.
The landscaping looks beautiful. Nice job. The babies are looking happy and well. Nice job, there, too! I’m sure your dead. Don’t put any extra pressure on yourself. Just do what needs to be done. You’re in the busy season of your life. I don’t think I would have had time to blog either. I was lucky to get a shower! The pictures are great and, dare I say, worth a thousand words.
Always good to see what you’re doing, Jells, even though you make me feel majorly lazy! Ha!
Dear god I wish you could come to my house/yard.
The deck and plants look fantastic!
The work looks wonderful, as do the girls! I get the tiredness. Take care of yourself, we’ll be here for you. x
Busy lady! That’s a beautiful deck, though. Hubs and crew did a great job, but I’m sure it’s those plants that make it the stellar final product that it is. No worries about taking what down time you can get, you just enjoy those girls and get done what you need to. We’ll see you better in the very near future.
I feel you with the “can’t remember how to make my brain write words.” I stepped away for a little bit, and realize that it has become a long bit. The restart is rough – like loosing the beat to a tune. The babes are truly scrumptious, Jell!
You do what you gotta do, girl. Everything you make is beautiful, be it landscapes or people.
Sometimes ya just gotta live life instead of writing about it. Love the landscaping, and love the photos of the girls even more.
Love the truth. We’ve all been there – and somewhat still are. Beautiful landscape work too – way to go!
I am right there with you on the inability to make sense with words these days. I too was loving blogging a little too much and now that I don’t have much time for it, when I do have a little time to blog, my brain freezes up and nothing of any value comes out.
I love the landscaping action you have going on. Quite nice! And those kids are pretty darn cute too.
I only write on the weekends – some weekends – because I am too tired most weeknights. I work at a computer 40 hours a week typing. You have young kids (mine are grown), and a job….so maybe write on the weekends, or troll a couple of times a month.
