The time I had a second baby.

I will have a more detailed birth story in a few days after I wrap my head around another child coming forth from my body. For now I can tell you that A2 is beautiful, peaceful, and lovely. She made her arrival last night at 8:27, is 8 lbs even, and I pushed twice. A much different experience than with EB, and gravity was my friend. Most of my laboring was done standing up; I gave birth on my knees with my midwife behind me.

Holy craps, I made a human. Again. And I love her.

Mama Jells.

  1. I sent this picture to my mom before you made this post. Because we are invested in your life now. You can’t get rid of us. She is beautiful and perfect. I can’t wait to see her grow up with her big sister Eebs!

  2. I’m just in love with her! Oh my goodness, is she a beautiful baby! I told Lily I think she looks like Eebs quite a bit. Time will tell…
For now, I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS! Well done, Jells, job well done. (Can’t wait to hear about the first time Eebs meets her baby sister!)

  3. Oh! Isn’t she beautiful! (even if she came a day late for me to be right!!)! I have tears here as I type this. Lily is right, we are invested and you have all of us in your lives. We are blessed by this fact and I think our lives are richer for all of our connections. I’m babbling. Oh! Isn’t she beautiful!! Well done, Mama. Congratulations. Damn, now I’m crying.

  4. 2 pushes is awesome!!!! Does the 2nd time hurt less?? You’re the only person I “know” that has had 2 both naturally (besides my first doula who I don’t keep in touch with)… that would make me much more eager to have #2!!! ;) I’m still on the fence! hehehe
Congratulations!!!! I loved Liane when I saw her for my after care check up one time and am looking forward to switching practices to see her, thanks to you! :)
A beautiful baby girl you have there!!!!
